Our Story
We knew we needed to do something.
I am a stay at home mom in my early 40’s and was diagnosed with breast cancer last year. My best friend Dina's husband was diagnosed with a brain tumor almost 2 years ago.
Luckily, we both ended up ok, but it got us talking about what we could do to protect our families. We started with small changes like buying organic foods and watching what kind of chemicals we allowed into our homes. Small changes, yes, but we felt better knowing we were at least trying to do what we could.
One day, while reading the news online, I came across an article about people protesting the use of smart meters, the devices being installed on our homes to measure our electricity usage. The complaints ranged from headaches, low energy, nausea, depression and so on. I was so shocked when I read this! I couldn’t believe that I had no choice in whether or not my family would have one of these smart meters installed on our home.
